Let me introduce myself – Alexander K. 56 years old. Since the end of seventies, I am egnaged about audio perception and related problems.
The first meeting with the Way Cables occurred over web adverts – silver 4N purity, cotton as a dielectric, the new KLEI connectors, bamboo ring, engraved wooden box… I thought I was in Japan…
Long time I enjoy in audio researching and I know that system must have well balance for a long run enjoyment, and even when you want a change, it has to be subtle and weighed.
The second meeting happened about KLEI connectors, because I thought to install them on a one cable, which were been just a picture in my head. In a more than pleasant conversation with Miroslav, I changed my decision and wished to hear SILVER 2 interconnect. Miroslav has given me the pleasure to take them with me to home listening test.
I would point out that my system is neutral with slightly warm character. With SILVER 2 interconnects I linked my CD player and preamplifier. Way Cables interconnect has a natural structure of cotton, which is different from any other outer layer structure of cables, which I previously owned. Way cables are incredibly flexible and easy for connecting, and KLEI connectors perfectly accepting terminals on devices.
We all have our priorities in the experience of music. Here are my priorities:
- Natural color and volume of instruments
- Dynamics
- Balance of sound image
- Depth of sound image
- Air between instruments
- Silence between instruments
The first three conditions are relatively easy to achieve, but other three someone never reach.
SILVER 2 interconnect is a great cable. The cable has a plenty of good features and allows you to enjoy music on a very high level. Admittedly, I knew it could be a little better sound in my system, but what I missing is not necessary for others to enjoying. Balance of sound image in my exacting system has not yet received enough dynamics in the lower range, which gave a little dominant reflection in the medium tones, while the highs are well behaved. Breathing of sound image and the silence between the instruments is a difficult category to achieve, so that I did not expect in this price category, but I hoped. Overall, Silver 2 is great cable to start but can be end solution for someone.
SILVER 4 interconnect has fulfilled all my expectations, even more. The red color… color of happiness and love. All priorities for me are met, even those most difficult. Balance of sound image is perfect from low to high tones. The depth of sound image is exactly where was during recording. Instruments breathe with full lungs capacities, especially in the attack of the big band or symphony orchestra. For me, the most difficult to achieve is the silence between the instruments i.e. empty space that borders each instrument and separated from each other, but that’s exactly what Silver 4 achieved perfectly!
I think that I am with SILVER 4 got much more than I had hoped. I know that Miroslav and Way Cables given me great pleasure.
